Sixty-Six

All streams and rivers flow to the sea

because the sea lies beneath them.

If I wish to teach people,

I must serve them.

If I wish to lead people,

I must find out where they would like to go.

In this way, one can lead from above

without weighing people down.

If there is one word

one could use to describe

real leaders,

that word is

generosity.

Real leaders have stopped keeping score.

They give and give

and do not stop giving.

I must consider this when I say

"I want to be a leader."
